Dr. Mrs. Abimbola Ogundere

I am an Education Leadership and Management Expert, a School Leadership Coach, an Education advocate, a thought leader and sought-after speaker on Education Leadership and the Business of Education.

I am the C.E.O of Kids’ Court School & The Court Hill College, a renowned school in Lagos, Nigeria, founded in 2009 when I was 27 years old.

In 2018, due to my enthusiasm for improving the quality of education received by the average African child, I started the Learning As I Teach Foundation, Africa, a non- for -profit organisation dedicated to improving the quality of education received by the African child.

We bridge the barrier educators have to accessing qualitative professional development by providing these opportunities at minimal cost and via multiple channels and medium.

From 2018 to 2019, the Learning As I Teach Foundation held monthly professional and personal development seminars and conferences for over 10,000 teachers in Nigeria.

In 2020, the Learning as I Teach Foundation launched the The Right Teacher Academy, a 10-week virtual transformative immersion program born out of the solutions driven reformist work being done by the foundation to address the unending inequities and inadequacies that exist in the education sector across Africa made even more obvious by the demands that arose from the COVID19 pandemic.

Over 1,000 teachers across Africa have gone through the academy between September 2020 and March 2021 including 265 Evaluators of The Office of Education Quality Assurance, Lagos State Nigeria.

All fellows of the academy graduate with increased capacity to take their place as key positive influencers in the 21st century.

Understanding the vital role that school leaders play as the second most important school based factor influencing students outcomes, the Learning as I Teach Foundation launched the Succeeding at Leading a Learning Community Executive Coaching program in January 2020. The program empowers, equips and energises school leaders to lead self and their schools to success, effectiveness and growth.

I am the author of education-focused books including the bestselling The Right Teacher, The ABC of Teacher Professionalism, Hiring Right, The Complete Guide to Succeeding at School Leadership and Leadership for Wellbeing in Schools.

In 2018, the Learning as I Teach Foundation was awarded the “Best Education Collaboration in Nigeria” by the Archlights Foundation.

In March 2021, I was recognised as one of Leading Ladies Africa’s 100 Most Inspiring Women 2021 and Elvaridah’s Five Outstanding Women in Business.
